Big Home or High Demand? Most people calling about this system have a large home and know standard-sized equipment will not keep up. Aidan will review your water test results, ask about your household size and peak usage, and confirm whether 3.5 CF tanks and the 80K softener are the right fit. If your home is smaller and the standard Ultimate system works, he will tell you and save you $1,200. No pressure, no upsell.

Call before you install. With 6 oversized systems, placement and plumbing order matter even more. The 16" x 65" tanks are larger than standard, so confirm clearance first. Aidan walks customers through the layout over the phone -- call 800-460-5810 with your basement or utility room dimensions.
UV sterilizer (requires 120V outlet, install last before house entry)
Electrical Requirements
Three systems need power: the iron filter, the water softener, and the UV sterilizer. You will need 3 available 120V outlets in your utility area. The acid neutralizer, carbon filter, and sediment filter are fully passive.
Drain Requirements
The iron filter and water softener need drain lines for backwash/regeneration. Route 1/2" tubing to a floor drain, utility sink, or outside (max 20 feet each). The 3.5 CF iron filter uses more backwash water than the standard 2.5 CF, so confirm your drain can handle 5-7 GPM during regeneration.
Space Planning
Plan for roughly 10-12 linear feet of wall space. The three 16" x 65" tanks (iron, AN, softener) are each about 16 inches in diameter and 5.5 feet tall. The carbon filter is standard size (13" x 54"). The UV sterilizer mounts horizontally on the wall. Confirm ceiling clearance for the 65" tall tanks (you need room to service the valve on top).
Time Estimate
Most homeowners complete the full install in 8-12 hours over a weekend. If you hire a plumber, they can call Aidan at 800-460-5810 for programming help with the Fleck valves.
Sediment Filter Every 3-6 months
Replace the 5-micron cartridge when flow drops or it looks dirty. Unscrew the housing with the included wrench, swap the cartridge, and reinstall.
Iron / Sulfur AIO Filter (3.5 CF) Minimal
The Fleck 2510AIO backwashes automatically on a schedule you set during installation. Katalox-Light media lasts 7-10+ years under normal conditions. No media changes unless iron levels are extreme.
Acid Neutralizer (3.5 CF) Every 12-18 months
Add calcite through the fillport when the media level drops to about 2/3 full. The 3.5 CF tank holds more media so refills may stretch slightly longer than standard systems. Calcite is available in 50 lb bags.
Water Softener (80K) Monthly salt check
Keep the brine tank at least 1/4 full with salt. Larger homes typically go through a 40 lb bag every 3-6 weeks depending on hardness and usage. The Fleck 5600SXT regenerates automatically based on usage.
Carbon Filter Every 3-5 years
Non-backwashing carbon eventually exhausts. When taste or odor returns, replace the activated carbon media (pour out old, pour in new through the fillport).
UV Sterilizer Annual lamp swap
Replace the UV lamp once a year (the controller counts down lamp hours). Clean the quartz sleeve during replacement. Replacement lamps available here.

Why Choose the Large Home System?
Oversized Tanks for Homes That Run Everything at Once
Big homes have big flow demands. When 4 showers, a dishwasher, and a washing machine are all running at once, standard-sized treatment tanks become a bottleneck. Pressure drops, iron breaks through, and the softener runs out of capacity.
This system solves that problem with oversized components. The iron filter and acid neutralizer use 3.5 cubic foot tanks (vs. standard 2.5 CF) to handle 14+ GPM without flow restriction. The 80,000-grain softener (vs. standard 64K) goes longer between regeneration cycles so it never runs out mid-week in a large household.
Same 6-stage treatment sequence as our Ultimate system: sediment, iron removal, pH correction, softening, carbon polish, UV disinfection. Same expert support. Just bigger, for homes that need more capacity. Free shipping to the lower 48 on pallet.

Frequently Asked Questions
Flow rate. In a home with 5+ bathrooms, you can easily run 3-4 fixtures simultaneously during peak hours (morning showers, dishwasher, laundry). Standard 2.5 CF tanks handle about 10-12 GPM before pressure drops. The 3.5 CF tanks in this system handle 14+ GPM without bottlenecking. If your home is smaller (3-4 bathrooms), the Ultimate Well Water System with 2.5 CF tanks is a better fit and saves $1,200.
Plan for 10-12 linear feet of wall space. The three large tanks (iron filter, acid neutralizer, softener) are 16 inches in diameter and 5.5 feet tall. Confirm ceiling clearance in your utility area, because you need room to service the valve on top of each tank. The carbon filter is standard size (13" x 54"). You will also need 3 available 120V outlets and drain access for the iron filter and softener.
Yes, most of our customers do. The plumbing connections are the same as the standard-sized systems. The main difference is weight: the 3.5 CF tanks are heavier, so plan to have a second person help you stand them upright and position them. Aidan walks people through the full installation over the phone, 7 days a week. Plan 8-12 hours over a weekend.
Tank size and softener capacity. The Ultimate uses 2.5 CF iron and AN tanks with a 64K-grain softener, which is right for most homes (2-4 bathrooms). This Large Home system uses 3.5 CF iron and AN tanks with an 80K-grain softener, designed for homes with 5+ bathrooms that run many fixtures at once. Same 6 stages, same treatment order, same expert support. The difference is flow capacity.
The biggest recurring items are: salt for the softener (a 40 lb bag every 3-6 weeks depending on usage), calcite for the acid neutralizer (top off every 12-18 months), sediment filter cartridges (every 3-6 months), and the UV lamp (once a year). The iron filter media and carbon media last years before needing replacement. None of these tasks are complicated. Call us if you need help.
Call us at 800-460-5810 and we will build a custom quote that excludes whatever you already own. If you already have a water softener but need the oversized iron filter and acid neutralizer, we do that regularly. We can also confirm whether your existing systems are sized right for your flow demand.

Why the Large Home System Costs More
Oversized Components vs. Standard Systems
What Happens With Undersized Systems
Budget whole-house filter bundles cut corners where it counts: undersized tanks that cannot keep up with real household flow rates, cheap resin that degrades in a few years, timer-based regeneration that wastes salt and water, and partial media fills that need immediate topping off.
For a large home, the consequences are worse. Undersized tanks drop pressure the moment multiple showers run simultaneously. The iron filter cannot regenerate fast enough. The softener runs out of capacity halfway through the week. And when you call the seller for help, nobody picks up.

✅Lifespan: Lasts 15+ years

✅Support: Lifetime USA Support
$0.87/day over a 30-year system life
When you factor in the oversized components, full media fills, and unlimited expert support, this system delivers better long-term value than undersized alternatives that bottleneck at peak demand, need more frequent regeneration, waste more salt, and leave you without help when something needs adjustment. The 3.5 CF tanks alone give you 40% more media contact time than standard 2.5 CF systems.

29+Success Rate
After 29+ years of selling and supporting water treatment systems, we know what works for large homes. This is our highest-capacity package, built for homeowners with 5+ bathrooms who need oversized tanks to keep up with simultaneous demand. We pair proven components at the right size because that combination delivers years of trouble-free performance without pressure drops.
The Industry "Return Policy" Trap
+
Most online retailers offer a return policy that requires you to ship everything back at your expense. For a 6-stage oversized system, that is 700+ pounds of wet equipment on a pallet. After paying $500+ in return freight, you often find a 15-25% restocking fee on top. It is designed to make returns impractical.
How Our Real Guarantee Works
1
The System Doesn't Fix Your Water
If your water test still shows problems after installation, that is on us. Every stage should be performing.
2
You Call Us, We Fix It
We troubleshoot with you: water test results, installation order, valve settings, flow rates. Most issues are resolved with a simple adjustment.
Full Refund, No Hassle
If we cannot resolve the issue, you get a full refund. We handle the logistics. You do not ship anything back. That is the difference between a real guarantee and a return policy.
This is the system I recommend for big homes with bad well water. When you have 5 or 6 bathrooms and everyone is showering at the same time, standard-sized tanks bottleneck. The 3.5 CF iron and AN tanks plus the 80K softener give you the flow capacity to handle peak demand without pressure drops. I have helped hundreds of large-home owners size and install these exact components.
