Arsenic Removal Ion Exchange Resin - ResinTech ASM-10-HP (1 cu ft)
Not sure which arsenic system you need?
I'm the guy in the videos. Arsenic treatment is sized from a lab number, not a guess, and the order matters: iron and pH have to be handled before the arsenic stage. Send me your well test and I'll tell you exactly which system fits, or that you don't need one yet.
In the Box
- ✓ 1 cubic foot of ResinTech ASM-10-HP - arsenic-selective hybrid anion exchange resin, chloride form, factory sealed (~52 lbs)

🔧
A resin change-out is a 1-2 hour DIY job. No special tools - a wet/dry shop vac and a media funnel make it easy. We'll walk you through it on the phone, step by step.
Keep the resin moist and away from salt. Store the sealed box in a cool, dry place until install day. Avoid contact with salts or salty water (it prematurely exhausts the chloride-form resin), and never let loaded resin fully dry out.
- Put the system in bypass and relieve pressure at a downstream faucet.
- Disconnect the control valve from the plumbing and unscrew it from the tank.
- Remove the old resin: tip and pour the tank, or vacuum it out with a wet/dry shop vac. Keep the distributor tube in place (plug its top so media can't fall in).
- Rinse the tank and inspect the distributor tube and baskets for damage.
- Pour in the new ASM-10-HP through a media funnel, filling to the same level as the original charge (your tank's rated cubic feet).
- Rinse the valve threads and o-ring, then reinstall the control valve.
- Slowly re-pressurize, check for leaks, and flush a downstream faucet for 10-15 minutes to clear media fines.
- Reset the metered service reminder (if your valve has one) and log the install date.

- 3-7 years typical Normal replacement window. Actual life depends on your raw arsenic level, daily gallons, pH, silica, and sulfate. Higher arsenic and heavier water use mean earlier replacement.
- Annual test shows arsenic rising The definitive signal. Test treated water yearly at a certified lab. When arsenic starts creeping up in the treated water, the resin is approaching capacity - order replacement media.
- Metered valve alarm The convenience signal. If your system has a metered valve programmed with a gallon target, replace when it alarms (then confirm with a test).
Don't run exhausted resin indefinitely. ASM-10-HP never dumps arsenic back into your water (unlike adsorptive media), but exhausted resin simply stops removing - your water gradually returns to its raw arsenic level. Annual testing is non-negotiable for any arsenic system.
Disposal: Spent ASM-10-HP is generally non-hazardous and landfill-safe in residential quantities, but disposal rules vary by state. Call us and we'll point you to the right guidance for your area.

Hybrid anion exchange with iron oxide dispersed through every bead - not a coated granule that sheds and dumps.
ASM-10-HP is a chloride-form strong base anion exchange resin with hydrated iron oxide monoatomically dispersed throughout the polymer. That hybrid construction is what separates it from granular adsorptive arsenic medias: the iron oxide isn't a surface coating that can shed or exhaust unevenly, it's built into every bead. The result is exceptional arsenic capacity (500,000+ gallons per cubic foot reducing 50 ppb arsenate below the EPA's 10 ppb limit), low pressure drop from uniform spherical beads, zero particle shedding, and - most importantly - no arsenic dumping at exhaustion. Effluent arsenic never exceeds influent arsenic, even if you run the resin past its capacity.
It's WQA Gold Seal certified for potable water and made in the USA by ResinTech, one of the most respected ion exchange manufacturers in the world. This is the exact media we load in our 6 GPM and 10 GPM whole-house arsenic systems, sold by the cubic foot so a resin change-out costs a fraction of a new system.
Not sure if your resin is due? Test your treated water annually - when arsenic starts rising, it's time. Call or text Aidan at 800-460-5810 and he'll help you confirm fill volume, walk through the change-out, and set up a testing schedule that fits your water.
