Not sure how much resin your tank needs?Resin volume, bed depth, and flow rate decide whether a PFAS bed actually performs. Tell Aidan your tank size and send your PFAS and water test results. He'll confirm how many cubic feet you need, whether your TOC and sulfate will shorten bed life, and what pre-filtration belongs upstream, before you spend a dollar.
✓1 cubic foot of ResinTech SIR-110-HP - PFAS / nitrate / perchlorate selective strong base anion resin, chloride form, styrenic gel
✓WQA Gold Seal certified for potable water - the HP designation means this lot is certified safe for drinking water duty
✓Factory-sealed bag - approximately 40-42 lbs ship weight per cubic foot
✓ Free shipping to all lower 48 states
This is the exact media inside our PFAS Removal System. If you own that system, this bag is your rebed media. A 12" x 48" tank holds approximately 1.5 cubic feet, so a full rebed takes two bags (with media left over) or order matched quantities after a quick call.
Single-use for PFAS. Once this resin has been in PFAS service it cannot be regenerated for PFAS duty. When it reaches capacity, the spent resin comes out and new resin goes in. Plan rebeds around your PFAS level and water chemistry (see the Replacement tab).

Loose media in a sealed bag. No valve, no tank, no fittings. This is the resin only, for rebedding an existing PFAS ion exchange tank or building a custom system. If you need a complete system, see our PFAS Removal System, which ships with this exact media already loaded.
Pre-filtration matters. Sediment, iron, and manganese must be removed upstream or they will foul the resin bed and cut its PFAS capacity short. High TOC and high sulfate in your source water also compete for capacity and shorten resin life. Send us your water test and we will confirm what belongs ahead of the resin.

Keep a minimum bed depth of 24 inches and size the service flow at 1 to 4 gpm per cubic foot of resin (8 to 32 bed volumes per hour). A taller, narrower bed at moderate flow gives the resin more contact time and better PFAS capture. Not sure about your tank? Call us with the model or measurements.
Rebedding Steps
Bypass the tank, relieve pressure, and disconnect the valve or in/out head
Remove the spent resin (a shop vac or media exchange funnel makes this clean) and dispose of it per local guidance: spent PFAS resin goes in the trash, never down a drain
Rinse the tank and check the riser tube and distributor basket for damage
With the riser capped, pour in the new SIR-110-HP to the correct volume for your tank
Reinstall the valve, slowly fill the tank, and rinse to the drain or an outside spigot until the water runs clear before returning to service

No regeneration, no salt, no chemicals. SIR-110-HP works in single-pass PFAS service. There is nothing to maintain while it runs: water flows through, PFAS stays on the resin. The only job is replacing the bed when it reaches capacity.
Why Single-Use for PFAS?
This resin is built to grab PFAS and hold it. The same selectivity that makes it effective also means a standard salt brine cannot strip the PFAS back off, so the resin cannot be regenerated for PFAS duty. That is not a defect, it is how PFAS-selective ion exchange works, and it is why single-use resin beds are the standard approach for residential PFAS treatment. When the bed is exhausted, the spent resin comes out and a fresh fill goes in.
Replacement Schedule
Varies by waterReplace the resin bed when it reaches PFAS capacity. There is no single interval: bed life depends on your PFAS concentration, your daily water use, and your water chemistry. Higher TOC and higher sulfate both compete with PFAS for capacity and shorten bed life. We estimate your interval from your water test when you buy.
AnnualTest the treated water for PFAS to confirm the bed is still capturing. PFAS has no taste, color, or smell, so a lab test is the only way to catch breakthrough.
Every 3-6 monthsChange any upstream sediment pre-filter so particulates never reach the resin bed.
Do not run the bed past breakthrough. Because exhaustion is invisible, the safe pattern is: test annually, watch your usage, and rebed on the conservative side of the estimate. If your incoming PFAS level changes (new test, nearby contamination news), retest the treated water sooner.

Why Choose SIR-110-HP for PFAS Ion Exchange?
Certified PFAS-Selective Resin for Rebeds and Custom PFAS Systems
ResinTech SIR-110-HP is a PFAS, nitrate, and perchlorate selective strong base anion resin in chloride form, supplied as a styrenic gel with 16-50 US mesh beads. The HP designation means the resin is WQA Gold Seal certified for potable water, so the media itself has been third-party verified safe for drinking water duty. It removes PFOA, PFOS, and a wide range of additional PFAS species, along with nitrate, perchlorate, iodide, and pertechnetate.
This is the exact media loaded inside our PFAS Removal System. The 1 cubic foot bag exists for two buyers: owners of a PFAS ion exchange tank who need to rebed it, and DIY builders assembling a custom PFAS system who want certified, PFAS-selective resin instead of generic bulk media. A 12" x 48" tank holds about 1.5 cubic feet; keep a minimum bed depth of 24 inches and size service flow at 1-4 gpm per cubic foot (8-32 bed volumes per hour).
Be clear-eyed about one thing before you buy: this resin is single-use for PFAS. Its selectivity binds PFAS so strongly that brine regeneration cannot strip it off, so a spent bed is replaced, not regenerated. Replacement interval depends on your PFAS concentration, water usage, and water chemistry, since TOC and sulfate compete for capacity. Send us your water test and we will estimate bed life honestly before you order.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. Our PFAS Removal System (the 12" x 48" tank) ships loaded with this exact resin, ResinTech SIR-110-HP. This bag exists so owners of that system can rebed it when the resin reaches capacity, and so DIY builders can load their own tank with the same WQA Gold Seal certified media instead of guessing at bulk resin quality.
A 12" x 48" tank holds approximately 1.5 cubic feet of resin, so a full rebed takes two of these 1 cubic foot bags with media left over. A 10" x 44" tank takes about 1 cubic foot (one bag) and a 13" x 54" tank takes about 2 cubic feet (two bags). Keep a minimum bed depth of 24 inches in whatever tank you use. If you are not sure what your tank holds, call or text us the model or the diameter and height and we will tell you.
No, and this is the most important thing to understand before buying. SIR-110-HP is single-use for PFAS duty. The resin's selectivity means it binds PFAS so strongly that a salt brine regeneration cannot strip it back off the way hardness is stripped off softener resin. When the bed reaches capacity, the spent resin is removed and replaced with fresh resin. That is the standard approach for residential PFAS ion exchange, not a shortcoming of this particular product.
It depends on three things: your PFAS concentration, how much water your household uses, and your water chemistry. Higher PFAS levels exhaust the bed faster. High TOC (total organic carbon) and high sulfate both compete with PFAS for exchange sites and shorten bed life, sometimes significantly. Because of that, we do not quote a flat gallon number that ignores your water. Send us your PFAS test and a standard water test and we will estimate a realistic replacement interval for your situation. Then verify with an annual PFAS test on the treated water, because breakthrough has no taste, color, or smell.
It is a selective strong base anion resin that removes PFAS (PFOA, PFOS, and a wide range of other PFAS species), nitrate, perchlorate, iodide, and pertechnetate. The HP designation means the lot is WQA Gold Seal certified for potable water use. Note that if your water has meaningful nitrate or sulfate, those ions consume capacity too, which is part of why bed life varies with water chemistry.
Size for 1 to 4 gallons per minute per cubic foot of resin, which is 8 to 32 bed volumes per hour. Slower flow within that range gives more contact time and better PFAS capture. Keep at least 24 inches of bed depth. A 1.5 cubic foot bed in a 12" x 48" tank comfortably supports whole-house service flow for a typical home, which is exactly how our PFAS Removal System is configured.
Yes. Sediment, iron, and manganese will foul the bed and cut its PFAS capacity short, so they must be handled upstream. At minimum run a sediment pre-filter; if your water test shows iron or manganese, treat those with a dedicated system first. On well water we usually recommend the full treatment train review. Send us your water test and we will lay out the right order.
Spent residential PFAS resin is generally disposed of as ordinary solid waste: bag it and put it in the trash, following any local guidance. Never rinse spent resin down a drain or spread it outdoors, because the PFAS it captured stays bound to the beads. If your municipality has specific PFAS disposal rules, those take precedence. Call us if you want help checking.

Why SIR-110-HP Costs More Than Generic Anion Resin
PFAS-Selective, Certified Media vs Uncertified Bulk Resin
What You Get With Generic Bulk Resin
Bulk anion resin sold online is often generic, uncertified media with no PFAS selectivity data behind it. A generic strong base anion resin will grab some PFAS at first, but without PFAS-selective chemistry its capacity is consumed quickly by sulfate, nitrate, and organics, and nobody can tell you when breakthrough will happen.
Cheap media also frequently ships without potable water certification, which means no third party has verified the resin itself is safe to put in your drinking water.

PFAS-selective, WQA Gold Seal, sized to your water test
Because PFAS resin is single-use, the real comparison is cost per gallon of protected water, not the sticker price of the bag. A certified PFAS-selective bed sized to your water chemistry runs for its full rated life and you know when to replace it. A cheap generic bed can exhaust early with no warning, and PFAS breakthrough is invisible: you would be paying less per bag to drink unprotected water without knowing it.
What You Get With SIR-110-HP
SIR-110-HP is ResinTech's PFAS-selective strong base anion resin, and the HP designation means the lot is WQA Gold Seal certified for potable water. It is engineered to prefer PFAS, nitrate, and perchlorate over the common background ions in your water, which is what gives a properly sized bed its useful service life.
It is also the exact media we load into our own PFAS Removal System, so when you rebed with this bag you are restoring the system to its as-shipped performance, not experimenting with a substitute. And you get 7-day-a-week support from people who size PFAS beds against real water tests, including an honest replacement estimate based on your PFAS level, TOC, and sulfate.

PFAS are invisible, tasteless, and odorless, which makes trusting your treatment media essential. That is why we back this resin with a real guarantee, not a return policy designed to discourage returns. We have spent 29+ years helping homeowners solve water contamination problems, and SIR-110-HP is the media we chose for our own PFAS Removal System because it is PFAS-selective and WQA Gold Seal certified for potable water.
The Industry "Return Policy" Trap
+
Most online media sellers require you to ship unused or 'defective' media back at your own expense, then deduct a 15-25% restocking fee. For loose resin the freight alone can approach the price of the bag. It is designed to make returns impractical. For something as serious as PFAS in your family's water, you should not have to gamble on whether the media actually performs.
How Our Real Guarantee Works
1
It Doesn't Reduce the PFAS
If post-install testing shows the resin bed isn't capturing PFAS the way this media is proven to, that's on us.
2
You Call Us, We Fix It
We troubleshoot with you: bed depth, flow rate, pre-filtration, TOC and sulfate interference. Most problems trace to upstream water chemistry and are fixable without replacing the media.
Full Refund, No Hassle
If we cannot resolve the issue, you get a full refund. We handle the logistics. You do not ship anything back. That is the difference between a real guarantee and a return policy.
Resin is the part of a PFAS system most people never see, and it is also the part doing all the work. Before you order, send me your PFAS test and a standard water test. I will check your TOC, sulfate, and nitrate, confirm how many cubic feet your tank needs, and give you an honest replacement interval instead of a flat gallon claim. If your water chemistry means this resin is the wrong tool, I will tell you that too.
