Neutralizer brought ph from 5.4 to 10+ when tank filled 3/4 with Calcite/10% Flomag mix. Shop vac'd media down to 1/2 level and ph is high 8's, which I'm ok with for hardness <1gpg. Will try only Calcite upon refill and verify ph is acceptable. If you're fairly handy, you will have no problem installing and operating this unit

Easy to install, passive operation, easy to refill. Previous model was wasting 100s of gallons of precious well water each cleaning once a week. That was if the unit didn't reset to the default of twice a week each time there was a power outage or bump, and I didn't reset it. Also had to run a drain hose across the basement to a drain, and clean tank each time calcite was depleted outside removing and replacing gravel. What a pain in the ***!
