Upflow/Non-Backwashing Acid Neutralizers

A non-backwashing (upflow) acid neutralizer is the right tank when your iron is at or below 0.5 ppm and there is no heavy sediment, which is why about nine of every ten neutralizers we ship are this type. Water flows up through the calcite, so there is no backwash, no drain, and no electricity; the only upkeep is topping up the calcite, about every 6 to 12 months on a 1.0 cu ft tank and every 30 to 36 months on a 2.5.

Tanks here run $1,195 (1.0 cu ft) to $1,495 (2.5 cu ft) on plain calcite, $1,395 to $1,695 with FloMag for lower pH, and $1,695 for the 3.5 cu ft.
