How Bad Is the Sulfur Smell?Call us and we will size the right system. If your water test shows H2S under 5 ppm, this package handles it. If it is higher, we have options for extreme sulfur. Either way, Aidan will look at your test results and tell you exactly what you need. No pressure, no upsell. If a single iron/sulfur filter is enough, he will save you money.
All tanks and valves made in the USA. 5-year valve warranty, 10-year tank warranty on all systems.
Call before you install. Placement and plumbing order matter. Aidan walks customers through the layout over the phone -- call 800-460-5810 with your basement or utility room dimensions.
UV sterilizer (requires 120V outlet, install last before house entry)
Electrical Requirements
Two systems need power: the iron/sulfur AIO filter and the UV sterilizer. You need 2 available 120V outlets in your utility area. The carbon filter and sediment filter are fully passive.
Drain Requirements
The iron/sulfur AIO filter needs a drain line for backwash. Route 1/2" tubing to a floor drain, utility sink, or outside (max 20 feet). The carbon filter is non-backwashing, so no drain needed.
Space Planning
Plan for roughly 5-6 linear feet of wall space. The two tanks (iron/sulfur AIO and carbon) are each about 13" in diameter. The UV sterilizer mounts horizontally on the wall. The Big Blue housing is compact and mounts vertically.
Time Estimate
Most homeowners complete the install in 4-6 hours. If you hire a plumber, they can call Aidan at 800-460-5810 for programming help with the Fleck valve.
Sediment Filter Every 3-6 months
Replace the 5-micron cartridge when flow drops or it looks dirty. Unscrew the housing with the included wrench, swap the cartridge, and reinstall.
Iron / Sulfur AIO Filter Minimal
The Fleck 2510AIO backwashes automatically on a schedule you set during installation. Katalox-Light media lasts 7-10+ years under normal conditions. No media changes unless sulfur or iron levels are extreme.
Carbon Filter Every 3-5 years
Non-backwashing carbon eventually exhausts. When residual sulfur smell or taste returns, replace the activated carbon media (pour out old, pour in new through the fillport).
UV Sterilizer Annual lamp swap
Replace the UV lamp once a year (the controller counts down lamp hours). Clean the quartz sleeve during replacement. Replacement lamps available here.

Best UV Light for Well Water: Viqua VH410 Review
How This System Eliminates Rotten Egg Smell
Air-Injection Oxidation, Not Chemical Injection
Rotten egg smell every time you turn on the faucet. That is hydrogen sulfide gas (H2S) dissolved in your well water. Cartridge filters and chemical injection systems are temporary fixes that need constant attention. Air injection is the professional method.
The Fleck 2510AIO creates an air pocket at the top of the tank. When water enters, the sulfur gas hits the oxygen and turns into a solid particle. Katalox-Light media traps those particles, and the valve backwashes automatically to flush them out. No chemicals, no cartridges, no daily maintenance.
This 4-stage system handles the full picture. Sediment is trapped first. Sulfur and iron are oxidized and filtered out. The carbon filter polishes any residual taste and odor. And the UV sterilizer kills 99.99% of bacteria as the final step before water enters your home. All media included. Free shipping to the lower 48.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Fleck 2510AIO uses air injection to oxidize hydrogen sulfide (H2S) gas into solid sulfur particles. An air pocket at the top of the tank does the work. When your well water enters the tank, it passes through that air pocket. The sulfur gas reacts with the oxygen and turns into a solid. Then the Katalox-Light media traps the solid particles. The valve backwashes automatically to flush everything out. No chemicals, no additives, no cartridges to swap.
This system handles up to 5 ppm of hydrogen sulfide (H2S). Most residential wells with a noticeable rotten egg smell fall in the 1-3 ppm range, so this handles the vast majority of cases. If your water test shows H2S above 5 ppm, call Aidan at 800-460-5810. There are options for extreme sulfur, but they need to be sized correctly.
It depends on your water test. If your only problem is sulfur smell, the iron/sulfur AIO filter alone may be enough. But most wells with sulfur also have iron, bacteria, and sediment. This package covers all of those. Call Aidan at 800-460-5810 with your water test results and he will tell you exactly which stages you need. If a smaller setup makes sense, he will save you money.
Yes, most of our customers do. The sediment filter and carbon filter just plumb in with no electrical. The iron/sulfur AIO filter needs a 120V outlet and a drain line. The UV sterilizer needs a 120V outlet. Aidan walks people through the full installation over the phone, 7 days a week. Plan 4-6 hours. If you hire a plumber, they can call Aidan for Fleck valve programming help.
The sediment cartridge gets replaced every 3-6 months. The iron/sulfur AIO backwashes automatically, and the Katalox-Light media lasts 7-10+ years. The carbon media lasts 3-5 years before needing replacement. The UV lamp gets swapped once a year. None of these tasks are complicated, and we have guides for each one.
Buying all 4 stages together saves $455 compared to ordering each system separately. Everything ships together, arrives at the same time, and is supported by the same expert from start to finish. We also make sure the sizing is compatible across all stages.

Why a Sulfur System Costs More Than a Cartridge Filter
Air-Injection Oxidation vs. Budget Alternatives
What You Get With Budget Sulfur Filters
Budget sulfur filter systems use chemical injection (chlorine or hydrogen peroxide) that requires constant monitoring and chemical refills. Others use small cartridge-based filters that clog within weeks on a well with real sulfur and iron. Most come with no installation support.
Air-injection oxidation is the professional method because it uses no chemicals, handles higher concentrations, and the media lasts years instead of weeks. But it requires a properly sized tank and a quality control valve, which is why budget systems skip it.
The Real Cost Comparison
Budget Sulfur Filter
$800-2,000
❌Lifespan: Fails in 3-4 years
❌Result: Frequent repairs, poor water quality, leaks
When you factor in the professional-grade air-injection valve, full media fills, UV disinfection, and unlimited expert support, this system costs less per year than budget alternatives that need frequent chemical refills or cartridge replacements and leave you without help when something needs adjustment.
What You Get With Our System
This package uses the same professional-grade components we have sold for 29+ years: a Fleck 2510AIO air-injection valve, Katalox-Light iron/sulfur media in a 13 x 54 Vortech gravel-free tank, a Clack C1190 non-backwashing carbon filter, and a Viqua VH410 UV sterilizer. These are the components local water treatment professionals install.
You also get Aidan on the phone 7 days a week. Before the purchase, during installation, and for the life of your system.

29+Success Rate
After 29+ years of selling and supporting water treatment systems, we have solved sulfur problems on thousands of wells. The Fleck 2510AIO with Katalox-Light media is the combination we trust because it works on real well water, not just lab conditions. We pair it with carbon filtration and UV disinfection because most wells with sulfur also have other issues that need treatment.
The Industry "Return Policy" Trap
+
Most online retailers offer a return policy that requires you to ship everything back at your expense. For a 4-stage system, that is hundreds of pounds of wet equipment. After paying for return freight, you often find a 15-25% restocking fee on top. It is designed to make returns impractical.
How Our Real Guarantee Works
1
The Sulfur Smell Doesn't Go Away
If you still smell rotten eggs after installation, that is on us. The AIO filter should be eliminating it completely.
2
You Call Us, We Fix It
We troubleshoot with you: water test results, valve programming, backwash schedule, flow rates. Most sulfur issues are resolved with a simple valve adjustment.
Full Refund, No Hassle
If we cannot resolve the issue, you get a full refund. We handle the logistics. You do not ship anything back. That is the difference between a real guarantee and a return policy.
Sulfur is one of the most common calls we get. The rotten egg smell is miserable, and most people have tried cartridge filters or chemical injection before calling us. Air injection with Katalox-Light media is the fix that actually lasts. I have walked thousands of homeowners through the install and valve programming for this exact system.
