None. All three treatment tanks use non-backwashing upflow designs. No drain lines, no regeneration waste, no wastewater. The salt-free conditioner uses TAC media that never regenerates.

TAC media lasts 5-7 years under normal conditions. When you notice scale returning, the media is due for replacement. No backwashing, no salt, no regeneration cycles in between.

Carbon Filter Every 3-5 years

Non-backwashing carbon eventually exhausts. When taste or odor returns, replace the activated carbon media (pour out old, pour in new through the fillport).
