Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 8, 2026

All information that you provide is for our use only and will be held in strict confidence. We will not sell, trade or pass on any personal or business information provided by our clients. Once you become a customer, you may receive, from time to time, emails from us informing you it’s time to replace a filter or perform routine maintenance on your system.

In order to ship and track merchandise, we make your name and address available to such companies such as UPS, FedEx, US mail, and Freight Carriers.

We are an online-only business. We do not install equipment. To fulfill your order or process a water test you order from us, we share only the information needed with the suppliers, fulfillment partners, and independent testing laboratory that help us complete it. We do not authorize them to use your information for their own marketing.

You can do the following at any time by contacting us via the email address or phone number given on our website

  • See what data we have about you – if any
  • Change/correct any data we have about you.
  • Have us delete any data we have about you.

What Information Do We Collect?

When you visit our Web site you may provide us with two types of information: personal information that’s collected on an individual basis and Web site use information collected on an aggregate basis as you and others browse our Web site. We require only the personal information that is needed for safely processing your online order and for contacting you about your transactions. It is used exclusively for that purpose.

1. Personal Information You Choose to Provide

For example, you may need to provide the following information:

  1. Name
  2. Billing and shipping address
  3. Email address
  4. Home and business phone number
  5. Payment information (such as credit card, Apple Pay, or PayPal). Payment card details are processed by our payment providers; we do not store full card numbers ourselves.

In addition to providing the foregoing information, if you choose to correspond further with us through email, we may retain the content of your email messages together with your email address and our responses. We provide the same protections for these electronic communications that we employ in the maintenance of information received by mail and telephone.

2. Phone Calls, Texts, and Live Chat

When you call, text, or use the chat on our Web site, we collect the contents of that communication along with your contact details so we can answer your questions, recommend the right system, and support you after the sale. We record and transcribe inbound and outbound phone calls for quality, training, order accuracy, and support. If you prefer not to be recorded, please tell us at the start of the call or contact us another way, such as email, text, or chat.

3. Water Test Information

If you order a water test kit, we share the information needed to send and process your test with our independent testing laboratory, and we receive your water test results. We may use those results, and information you share about your water, to recommend appropriate treatment. We treat your specific test results as confidential and use them to help you.

4. Web Site Use Information

Similar to other commercial Web sites, our Web site utilizes a standard technology called “cookies” (see explanation below, “What Are Cookies?”) and Web server logs to collect information about how our Web site is used. Information gathered through cookies and Web server logs may include the date and time of visits, the pages viewed, time spent at our Web site, and the Web sites visited just before and just after our Web site. This information is collected on an aggregate basis. None of this information is associated with you as an individual.

How Do We Use the Information That You Provide to Us?

Broadly speaking, we use personal information for purposes of administering our business activities, providing customer service and making available other products and services to our customers and prospective customers. Occasionally, we may also use the information we collect to notify you about new services and special offers we think you will find valuable. The lists used to send you product and service offers are developed and managed and designed to safeguard the security and privacy of our customers’ personal information. As a customer, you will be given the opportunity to opt out of these communications at any time.

What Are Cookies? Cookies are a feature of your Web browser software that allows Web servers to recognize the computer used to access a Web site. Cookies are small pieces of data that are stored by a user’s Web browser on the user’s hard drive. Cookies can remember what information a user accesses on one Web page to simplify subsequent interactions with that Web site by the same user or to use the information to streamline the user’s transactions on related Web pages. This makes it easier for a user to move from Web page to Web page and to complete commercial transactions over the Internet. Cookies should make your online experience easier and more personalized.

How Do We Use Information We Collect from Cookies?

We use Web site browser software tools such as cookies and Web server logs to gather information about our Web site users’ browsing activities, in order to constantly improve our Web site and better serve our customers. This information assists us to design and arrange our Web pages in the most user-friendly manner and to continually improve our Web site to better meet the needs of our customers and prospective customers.

Cookies help us collect important business and technical statistics. The information in the cookies lets us trace the paths followed by users to our Web site as they move from one page to another. Web server logs allow us to count how many people visit our Web site and evaluate our Web site’s visitor capacity. We do not use these technologies to capture your individual email address or any personally identifying information about you although they do permit us to send focused online banner advertisements or other such responses to you.

Microsoft Clarity

We partner with Microsoft Clarity and Microsoft Advertising to capture how you use and interact with our website through behavioral metrics, heatmaps, and session replay to improve and market our products/services. Website usage data is captured using first and third-party cookies and other tracking technologies to determine the popularity of products/services and online activity. Additionally, we use this information for site optimization, fraud/security purposes, and advertising. For more information about how Microsoft collects and uses your data, visit the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

Analytics and Advertising Partners

In addition to Microsoft Clarity, we use analytics and advertising services to understand how our Web site is used and to deliver and measure advertising. These include Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Ads, and Google Merchant Center, along with other analytics, attribution, and advertising platforms. To measure advertising and reach past or prospective customers, we may share hashed (pseudonymized) identifiers, such as a hashed email address or phone number, with advertising platforms like Google so they can match you to an account they already have for advertising and measurement. Under some state laws this is considered “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising, and you have the right to opt out (see “Your Privacy Rights” below).

You can manage advertising and analytics preferences through these resources:

How Do We Protect Your Information?

We utilize encryption/security best practices to safeguard the confidentiality of personal information we collect from unauthorized access or disclosure and accidental loss, alteration or destruction.

Data Retention

We keep your order information and related records for as long as we need them to provide our products and services and to meet our legal, accounting, tax, and warranty obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. We retain call recordings, transcripts, and support communications for quality, training, and recordkeeping. You may ask us to delete your information, subject to the exceptions allowed by law.

Your Rights Under The California Consumer Privacy Act

The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) provides you with rights regarding how your data or personal information is treated. Under the legislation, California residents can choose to opt out of the “sale” of their personal information to third parties. Based on the CCPA definition, “sale” refers to data collection for the purpose of creating advertising and other communications. Learn more about CCPA and your privacy rights.

Your Privacy Rights If You Live in Another State

We sell to customers nationwide. Depending on your state of residence, including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and other states with comparable privacy laws, you may have the right to know and access the personal information we hold about you, request that it be corrected or deleted, receive a copy in a portable format, and opt out of the “sharing” of your personal information for targeted advertising. You will not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To make a request, email support@midatlanticwater.net or call 1 (800) 460-5810. We will verify your request before acting on it, and you may use an authorized agent where the law allows.

Where required by law, we honor browser opt-out preference signals such as the Global Privacy Control (GPC) as a request to opt out of “sharing” for targeted advertising.

Do We Disclose Information to Outside Parties?

We may provide aggregate information about our customers, sales, Web site traffic patterns, and related Web site information to our affiliates or reputable third parties, but this information will not include personally identifying data, except as otherwise provided in this Privacy Policy.

What about Legally Compelled Disclosure of Information?

We may disclose information when legally compelled to do so, in other words, when we, in good faith, believe that the law requires it or for the protection of our legal rights.

What About Other Web Sites Linked to Our Web Site?

We are not responsible for the practices employed by Web sites linked to or from our Web site nor the information or content contained therein.

Changes To This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
