Clack 2.5 cubic foot non backwashing acid neutralizer comes with a 13x54 Vortech tank and Clack C1190 non electric, non backwashing valve. Installed as an upflow the Clack neutralizer does not need to backwash. Each time you use water it flows down the center distributor tube and up through the Vortech plate which moves the water up through the calcite bed in a circular motion eliminating channeling and solidification. This size unit is designed for Ph levels down to 5.5. If your Ph is lower than 5.5 you will need to use a calcite/flomag mixture.
The Clack 48,000 grain water softener comes with the Clack WS1 electronic demand control valve which monitors gallons used and based on that will only regenerate when needed. The softener all comes with a 1.5 cubic foot Vortech tank which during backwash lifts and separates the softener resin which allows for better cleaning and recharging of the resin bed. The system also comes with a large capacity brine tank with salt platform and auto shutoff so there's no chance of the brine tank overflowing. We use Resin Tech 10% crosslink resin in all of our water softeners, which is the best performing softener resin in the industry.
