Neutralizer brought ph from 5.4 to 10+ when tank filled 3/4 with Calcite/10% Flomag mix. Shop vac'd media down to 1/2 level and ph is high 8's, which I'm ok with for hardness <1gpg. Will try only Calcite upon refill and verify ph is acceptable. If you're fairly handy, you will have no problem installing and operating this unit
Easy to install, passive operation, easy to refill. Previous model was wasting 100s of gallons of precious well water each cleaning once a week. That was if the unit didn't reset to the default of twice a week each time there was a power outage or bump, and I didn't reset it. Also had to run a drain hose across the basement to a drain, and clean tank each time calcite was depleted outside removing and replacing gravel. What a pain in the ***!
Great service before and after purchase.
My recent purchase of my upflow neutralizer was made about 2 years ago. My neutralizer was not a gravel bed neutralizer, it was a non gravel bed neutralizer. I believe they called it a vortex type. This survey almost took as long to get in my email as it was for mid atlantic to ship my neutralizer to me. Now to answer your question, I am very pleased with the product and is very easy to use and service. The price was very reasonable and if I had to buy another one (which I may) I would probably buy it from mid atlantic however I would have to make a phone call first to mid atlantic and have some sort of agreement on how long it will actually take for them to ship it to me.
Hi Martin, Mid Atlantic Water now offers free and fast 1-3 day shipping via R&L Freight. Thanks for your review!
